“ If your charity needs financial support or advice there’s only one place to go as far as East Durham Partnership is concerned, Joanne Anderson.

When the economic downturn set in we were struggling to make ends meet and were in danger of having to withdraw services. Joanne Anderson had been known to us through networking and had collaborated on a number of small grant applications. After one call to Joanne we established a plan of action which resulted 10 weeks later in a successful application for £142,000. One year later at the end of grant funding we again sought Joanne’s support and were once again successful (this time obtaining a grant for £284,000). These funds helped us to develop and grow to the successful social enterprise we are today.

Joanne not only has the knowledge, experience  and expertise to advise and support third sector organisations but she also brings her friendly personality, professionalism and dedication to projects. This makes her  unique and an asset to the sector as a whole.”

“I first met Joanne when our charity had just been formed.  She fully supported the work that we did from the start and was confident that we would be able to access external funding to grow the service.  She was true to her word.

The first grant she helped us secure was for £7,000 back in 2006 when we supported 8 families at that time.  Since then, she’s been instrumental in helping us secure Children In Need funding and, most recently a grant for over £250,000 to expand our work over the next 5 years.

Under Joanne’s guidance we have grown dramatically as a charity and have helped over 75 children and their families.  I am  so appreciative of the guidance and support she has offered us and would have no hesitation in recommending her to other charities.”

“Joanne is an extremely experienced grant assessor and has undertaken regular work on behalf of County Durham Community Foundation for many years now.  She has a flair for providing unbiased, factual, detailed assessments reports which help grants’ panel members make informed choices about where to target our funding.   She is particularly adept at scrutinising accounts and budgets to present accurate financial information about individuals, organisations and projects.

Joanne was the obvious choice when we needed to recruit a consultant to manage the distribution of a £700k fund in less than 3 months.  I’m delighted that she continues to be involved in our work.”

“Joanne has provided support for Women’s Support Network & Jigsaw since 2005. She has written funding applications and evaluation reports, helped with our business plan and our 5 year strategic plan. It is thanks to Joanne that we are in a good financial position today. All the funding applications she has written for us have been successful and her work on the evaluation report and business plan has been exemplary.

I don’t know what we would have done without Joanne’s support. She should feel very proud; her work has helped many people who have suffered sexual violence to receive the service they need. Thank you Joanne.”
